Porec is well known tourist centre of Istria, Croatia. The old part of the town is built on a small peninsula separated from the mainland by channel, and protected from the open sea by the small island (see map) The tourist resorts of Plava laguna and Zelena laguna are located at the south of the town. Porec is located at the main road connecting Porec with Pazin in Istria. All ferries leave from the Porec's main harbour - Riva.
