mateGuestI want to know if it’s necessary to reserve a travel in July for a car for Prapratno to Sobra ferry
If so, how can I do it ?at the present it is not possible to reserve car place on any of the local car ferries in croatia. it is first-come-first-served service, so try to be there at least an hour prior to departure
MoniGuestWe, 2 persons would like to travel with the ferry , with our car, from Prapatno-Sobra the 27th April at 20.30, and back the 3rd may at 19.00.
How we can reserve, this places for one car and two persons in advance?

NigelGuestMy wife and I wish to use the Prapratno – Sobra ferry, leaving at 13:00 on Thursday 15th June. We therefore need 2no foot passenger single tickets.
Is it possible to pay in advance and book seats now, or do we have to come to the Jadrolinija office in Prapratno on 15th June and buy the tickets then?
We are concerned the ferry may be full and we will not get on unless we pre-book our tickets.
Many thanks.

We are concerned the ferry may be full and we will not get on unless we pre-book our tickets. No advance booking is available for these ferries, it is first come first serve service. It is a large ferry and it is very unlikely it will be so full that you will not get your place. yes, you buy your ticket on the spot in the port.
NigelGuestMany thanks for your quick reply with very clear and helpful information.
Much appreciated.
ErnaGuestdo we have to book the ferry in advance?
Message Body:
We want to travel from Prapatno to Sobra by ferry: Do we have to book the ferry in advance or can we buy a ticket by arriving the port? Or is there a risk that the ferry is sold out/fully booked then?we are travelling by rented car and know already the day of departure and arrival but not the time of ferry passage exactly.
Maybe we want to take the return ferry from Sobra to Dubrovnik, it depends on the ferry timetable compared with our flight back home by plane
kind regards
LouGuestI was wondering if you recommend booking a ferry from Prapatno to Mljet for a trip in May, or it’s okay to buy when there?
We will have a car.Thanks a lot,
Lou
Ana3GuestLou, although you can buy a ticket in advance for this ferry crossing, the car reservation will not be issued, as this is a first-come, first-served service.
Therefore, you can buy a ticket online or in the kiosk, at the port itself.
The online booking link is here: https://www.croatiaferries.com/jadrolinija/
Erna,
Re: Do we have to book the ferry in advance or can we buy a ticket by arriving at the port? Or is there a risk that the ferry is sold out/fully booked then?
As this is a first-come, first-served ferry, car reservations are not available, even if you buy tickets in advance, so the best way is once you arrive in the port, buy your ticket there at Jadrolinija’s kiosk or online via your smartphone, while waiting in the queue/waiting line:
AndreaGuestI need the following information:
On 14 July we would like to take a ferry from Prapratno to Mijet.
If I book a 5pm ferry and we don’t get there because the traffic makes the journey longer than we thought, can we take the 8.30pm ferry later in the evening or if we miss the ferry we booked (5pm), will we not be able to get across to the island?
I look forward to your kind feedback, thank you
Andrea

Ana3GuestPrapratno to Sobra (Mljet island) crossing is a first come – first served service, so you can not actually reserve a place on that ferry.
You can indeed buy your tickets in advance, online (link in the above post)
However, it is just a ticket with no guaranteed place for a car.
You can also buy your ticket once you arrive at the port, from the small Jadrolinija’s kiosk.
So, I suggest you to come early in the port and place your car in the waiting line.
