sharonGuestCan you take bicycles on any of the foot passenger ferries travelling from Korcula to Hvar?
pereGuestnot on any, on some yes
MichaelGuestWe (2 people) hope to catch a ferry from Orebic to Korcula on 28th June, from Korcula to Hvar on 30th and Hvar to Split 2nd July.
We are planning to take bicycles: is this possible to take bikes on these ferries??
If not these ferries which ones could we take to get from Dubrovnic to Split?
AnaParticipantyou can take bicycles on ferry from Orebic to Korcula.
for korcula to hvar ferry as well as hvar to split, you should pack your bicycles in appropriate bicycle bag to transport them to.
alternatively, take ferry from korcula to stari grad (hvar) and from stari grad (hvar) another ferry to split.
another option is to cycle from korcula town to vela luka and from there take ferry to hvar (bicycles in the bag) or to split (no bag needed).
all car ferries take bicycles.
just some foot passenger ferries take them without the bicycle bags.
RodneyGuestWe are a couple travelling to Croatia in August. We wonder whether bicycles are allowed on board in the ferry from Milna to Split.
Thank you very much for everything beforehand
Rodney
AnaParticipantrodney@ be prepared to pack your bicycles in appropriate bicycle bag for foot passenger only ferries
ianGuestIs it possible to take a bicycle on the ferry from Pula to Maili Losinj???
Than you Very much.
MJJGuestWe would like to book 2 tickets for the ferry from Rijeka to Korcula and we will be traveling by bicycle.
However, there is no option for bicycles on the online reservation formular.
Could you please tell me how I can make these reservations and how much it would cost to take a bicycle on the ferry.
Thank you
ArielaGuestwe will be traveling to croatia by the end of August with our bikes.
We would like to know if bikes (in bags) are allowed in all ferries and if so, if they are considered as “vehicles” that need to be booked in advance.
In addition, I found that there are some routes for which we can not get tickets online (for example, Korcula to Hvar, and Hvar to Split), are these running every day as stated in your website?
Do we need to buy the tickets in advance for September?
thanks for your information and help!
MateGuestbikes in bags are consider to be luggage.
yes, these ferries run every day as stated on the site
GordonGuestMy wife and I will be travelling w/ small folding bicycles.
Will these be allowed on the passenger-only catamarans?
Thank you.
Gordon
MateGuestyes
GaborGuestI’m planning to go to Zaglav from Zadar this Thursday (31, October) by bike with the boat at 15:30.
I would like to ask if bicycles are allowed on this boat or not and how much is the tickets for 1 adult + the bike?
Thanks,
Gabor
EmmaGuestI am travelling from Split to Dubrovnik over the islands with my bicycle.
I would like to see the islands of Brac, Hvar, Korcula and Mljet.
However, I cant find any way of getting my bicycle from Brac to Hvar (Jelsa), and from Hvar to Korcula.
sarahGuestin july my friend and I are going to cycle through Croatia and Slovenia.
We are planning our trip and would like to take some ferries/boat trips to see some of the Croatian islands.
Now, some of the boats are for foot-passengers only.
Cars can not be taken on the boats but what about bikes?
Can we take them on these boats?
Thanks in advance,
Sarah
mateGuestmost of foot passengers ferries do not take bicycles unless they are packed in bicycles bags.
however, some ferries do take them – depending of the crew are company policies.
i would suggest you to take light bicycle bag as part of your luggage to pack your bicycle if you need to…
ana2Guestnote – all conventional ships and ferries take bicycles on board
KevinGuestwe are looking to do a bike tour in Croatia this fall (October).
I see your ferries are passenger ferries, are you able to transport pedal bicycles between Vela Luka and Hvar??
Also from Stari grad to Split?
thanks for your information in advnace

I would suggest you take a light bicycle bag as part of your luggage to pack your bicycle if you need to.
If you book your ferry well in advance it is more likely you can also book a space for your bike. Space on the ferry is limited so if the ferry can take let’s say 300 passengers it is unlikely they can also take 300 bikes on board. Book well in advance and get your bike onboard.
Here is a video of catamaran that takes bicycles:
mateGuestsee some photos of cyclists embarking on a foot passenger ferry in Croatia:
yes, you can take your bicycle without bike bags on some foot passenger ferry, like Krilo Star (https://www.croatiaferries.com/video-ferry-catamaran-krilo-star-arriving-in-korcula-on-route-to-mljet-and-dubrovnik/)
most foot passenger ferries take bicycles in bike bags only – pls check with the particular ferry company
HermannGuest– Catamaran with bike
we like to have an island hopping tour on the islands near Split in May
The Question: is it possible in the late season to take bikes on the catamaran ferryboat from Jadrolinija?
Jadrolinia is the only ferryboat company to Vela Luka in this time I see!?
Than you in advance for your answer.

Jadrolinia is the only ferryboat company to Vela Luka in this time I see !?I suggest you to take Split – Vela Luka ferry route 604 run by Jadrolinija where vehicles are permitted on board of the ferry.
BillGuestHow do we find out if the Catamarans will takes bikes from Split to Dubrovnik as well as Island to Island. 2 couples travelling by Tandem bicycle in Croatia.
Thanks,
Bill
Ana2GuestHow do we find out if the Catamarans will takes bikes from Split to Dubrovnik as well as Island to Island.
The best is to check with ferry company. Jadrolinija’s new catamaran ‘Vida’ does take bicycles (split-hvar-korcula) and ‘Krilo’ catamaran also takes bikes (Split – Brac – Hvar – Korcula – Mljet – Dubrovnik). Book your place in advance @ websites: jadrolinija.hr and krilo.hr
mateGuestIs it possible please to take our tandem bike, not in a bag!, on the ferry from Rab to Novalia on Pag?
at the present this line (9309) NOVALJA-RAB-RIJEKA is run by CATAMARAN ADRIANA and to the best to of my knowledge they don’t take bikes. however to be absolutely sure, get in touch with jadrolinija head office and check with them:
