in reply to: Ferry from Greece to Croatia and Croatia to Greece #2706
AnaParticipantWhich ferry from Greece is best to use to reach Dubrovnik? Is it better to take ferry from Greece to Ancona or to Bari?My plan is to travel in July this year. Thank you
Ferry to Bari should be better
https://www.travel-file.com/bari-ferries.htm
however, it depends from which place in Greece you plan to travel.
Try to compare ferry schedules with bari to dubrovnik here
https://www.croatiaferries.com/bari-dubrovnik-ferry.htm
and see which schedule suits you better
AnaParticipantyes, you can book tickets online – click on orange button here: https://www.croatiaferries.com/korcula-dubrovnik-ferry.htm
in reply to: Ferry to Vis Island from Ancona or Split #2848
AnaParticipantWe are planing a trip to Europe and we would like to visit Vis Island. We want to go either from Ancona or from Split. Why it takes 11 hours departing from Italy and only 2 hours departing from Split?
Hi Sofia, there are no direct ferries from Ancona to Vis island, you would need to go via Split and change the ferry there.
That’s the reason why it takes so long.
All ferries from Ancona to Split are here: https://www.croatiaferries.com/ancona-split-ferry.htm
Most of these ferry routes are overnight crossings.
All ferries to Vis are here:https://www.croatiaferries.com/vis-island-ferries.htm
in reply to: coach on ferry – prices? #2846
AnaParticipantIf we take our 45 seat coach on your ferry, does the price for the coach already include the price for its passengers, or do we have to pay for the passengers + the coach?
the price of coach doesn't include coach passengers, so you have to pay additionally for the passengers.
in reply to: Request for price – ferry Ancona to Zadar #2845

AnaParticipantDo you know when the information about reintroduce will be available?
Unfortunately notUpdate: The foot passenger ferry from Pula to Zadar, also stopping at Mali Losinj https://www.croatiaferries.com/pula-malilosinj-ferry.htm is now running all year round.
in reply to: Car Ferry checking-in times #2843
AnaParticipantWhat is the standard time to check-in for a car ferry?
The minimum check in time should be about 15 minutes, however it depends how busy is the ferry line and how long are the queues. Local car ferries are booked on first-come first served basis only.
in reply to: Hvar to Brac car ferry #2844
AnaParticipantIs there a car ferry that runs from Hvar to Brac in June? If so, from what port and at what time and how long is the trip?
No, there is no car ferry from Hvar to Brac.
Instead:- take the car ferry from Stari Grad (Hvar) line 635 to Split
https://www.croatiaferries.com/starigrad-split-ferry.htm - and from Split another car ferry to Supetar
https://www.croatiaferries.com/split-supetar-ferry.htm
About 2 hrs total journey time.
Or, another option is:
step 1/ drive to Sucuraj port on Hvar island and cross by car ferry to Drvenik
https://www.croatiaferries.com/sucuraj-drvenik-ferry.htm
step 2/ from Drvenik drive to Makarska
step 3/ from Makarska take a car ferry to Sumartin
https://www.croatiaferries.com/makarska-sumartin-ferry.htm
AnaParticipantWe are planning a trip trough Croatia where we want to travel with the ferry from Rijeka to Novalja an then we would travel to Zadar. We have seen that the ferry arrives 17.40 in Novalja https://www.croatiaferries.com/rijeka-novalja-ferry.htm and the Bus from Novalja to Zadar leaves 17.50 https://www.travel-file.com/novalja-zadar-buses.htm . Do you know if this connection does work in one part, so we could travel from Rijeka to Zadar via Novalja in one day (few hours) ..?
I am not exactly sure but I believe this connection works fine. Most of the ferries are usually connected by buses.
The best is to always double check with the bus provider – in this case it is Antonio Tours Pag, antoniotours.hr
AnaParticipantI ´ d like to know about having toilette in inside cabins from Ancona to Split. Does it exist??
Some interior cabins do not have it own bathrooms/ toilet. Some has washbasins only (no toilet)
When you are in process of booking your cabin it will be clearly displayed if cabin has or has not the toilet.
The price is also different for cabins with / without toilet.
in reply to: Booking cabins on ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari #2838
AnaParticipantThe only photos of cabins we have is this one in the attachment.
No other photos are provided by ferry company, sorry.
I hope this helps.

AnaParticipantDo you know if Jadrolinija will operate the route from Bol – Korcula – Dubrovnik?
I have tried to contact Jadrolinija, but they are not replying. It is difficult to predict what jadrolinija will do with this ferry line, however I believe it is very likely they will run this route following summer too.
The alternative is ferry from Milna (also Brac island) to Korcula and Dubrovnik

https://www.croatiaferries.com/milna-dubrovnik-ferry.htm
you can book this in advance at
krilo.aktiva-info.hr/eng/frmPregledSlobodnoEng.aspxin reply to: Ferry Pula-Venezia in June #2832
AnaParticipantI wish to book a ferry from Pula (Croatia) to Venezia (Italy) on June, 23th.
https://www.croatiaferries.com/pula-venice-ferry.htm
Will it be available close to the date or there is no ferry on this week day?It is unlikely there will be other dates available for this year.
If you wish, you can book ferry from one of nearby ports to Venice and take bus there from Pula.
https://www.travel-file.com/pula-buses.htm
I hope this helps..
in reply to: Booking cabins on ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari #2836
AnaParticipantInterior cabin means the cabin has no outside window, no windows or natural light at all, while exterior cabin has outside windows which let in natural light and some sea views.
Some interior cabins do not have it own bathrooms. Some has washbasins only.
Yes, you can book one fourth bed cabin plus you have to book one deck ticket.
https://www.croatiaferries.com/dubrovnik-bari-ferry.htm
This has to be two separate bookings due to booking system limitations.
in reply to: The best way to get from Vis to Mljet #2830
AnaParticipantPlease could you tell the best way to get from Vis to Mljet in April. I am having problems finding anyway to do this ! i don’t mind any combination of ferries/ catamarans- but obviously the most simple is best. please help i am finding it very tricky and we have to travel that date.is it possible to get private boat transfer maybe if there are no ferries ? i am travelling with 3 kids so need to know ahead.
from Vis take the ferry to Split: dep 05:30, arr 07:50 : https://www.croatiaferries.com/vis-split-ferry.htm
from Split take Uber to Prapratno ferry port (I just checked and Uber quote me 990 HRK for 4 ppl car)
from Prapratno take the ferry to Sobra, Mljet: https://www.croatiaferries.com/prapratno-sobra-ferry.htm
you may be able to catch 12:00 Prapratno – Sobra departure (arrival Sobra 12:45), if not then take 17:00 departure.
it is a long journey. personally, i would NOT recommend any private sea transfers as Vis to Mljet is a huge distance on open seas (about 55 nautical miles)
take ferry + uber + ferry, that’s the safest and quickest too.
check also some updates here, just in case: https://www.croatiaferries.com/topic/vis-to-mljet/
AnaParticipantthe 28 june in the afternoon I would like to take a ferry from sumartin to makarska with a car . Is there a need to reserve already a ticket ?If so, how can I do this ?
Advance reservation or booking local car ferries is not available. Book your ticket on the spot and try to be in the port at least 45 minutes prior to departure to ensure you get the car place.
UPDATE:
On this local car ferry crossing you can now book and reserve your car place on the ferry.
The updated info about available advance reservations and bookings for car ferries is here:
https://www.croatiaferries.com/booking-croatia-ferries/
AnaParticipantI am looking to book a ferry ride from Split to Ancona for 4 on September 5th this year but as of now I don’t know what make and model of vehicle we will be traveling in as I haven’t figured out a rental vehicle yet. Is there a way of booking the ferry now and updating my vehicle information closer to the date?
Yes it is possible – select vehicle type as ‘other’, enter the dimensions you expect the vehicle to be and then enter vehicle registration as ‘unknown’.
Here are more details about booking process: https://www.croatiaferries.com/topic/book-tickets-for-ferry-from-dubrovnik-to-bari-with-rented-car/
AnaParticipantBrestova to Porozina ferry sails every day.
That’s the only option at present (or Rijeka to Mali Losinj ferry) although Pula to Losinj ferry is expected to be reintroduced for the time being these are the only options.
Advance online booking is not available for these ferry lines.Update: Pula to Losinj ferry is in service as normal and you can book online all of these ferry crossings.

I can see that I can take a ferry from Spilt 9am and 15pm to Vis July 24th. There is no ferry in between 9 and 15?But how does I come from Vis to Brac ?? What is the easiest way?
The easiest way is to got Split and take ferry to any port available on Brac (supetar,etc..) ferries from split to Brac are frequent.
see schedules here: https://www.croatiaferries.com/brac-island-ferries.htm- take the car ferry from Stari Grad (Hvar) line 635 to Split
