AnaParticipantFerry price query – Does the price of a return ferry ticket for a car (Split to Vis = 308 euros) include passengers or is this extra?
The prices are in HRK which is Kuna, Croatian currency , not euro.
308 Kn for car + foot passanger (driver) is extra + any other passanger is extra
in reply to: Ferry from Split to Pula #2820
AnaParticipantHi Emily, you probably noticed info about the reintroduction of the ferry from Zadar to Pula.
The latest info, timetables, and booking are here:
https://www.croatiaferries.com/zadar-pula-ferry.htm
At one stage there was some info about the introduction of the ferry from Split to Zadar, however, none of the plans haven’t been realized yet.
So for time being, if you travel between Split and Pula your best option is a bus to/from Zadar & ferry to/from Pula.
The total travel time is at least 7 hours.
The alternative is a flight via Zagreb from Split airport.
in reply to: Ferry Zadar to Pula ? #2821
AnaParticipantI am looking for a connection by ferry on 29 July from Zadar to Pula for me and my daughter (no car). I note on your Website that it was intended that the Ferry Service will be reintroduced on this line in 2017, but there still does not seem to be a schedule. Do you have any update? Since I would have to find another possibility to travel to Pula, it would be great to know if we can still “hope” for the Ferry.
we do not have any more details about possible reintroduction of this ferry line.
it can be introduced any time as it depends of Croatian government.
in our private opinion, there is a hope as for this line there are available vessels.
the alternative is to take bus from zadar to pula.

AnaParticipantI want to know if it's possible to have a day trip from Hvar to Korcula Town, and then possibly continue on to a ferry to Mljet, and then return from Mljet directly back to Hvar — all on one day.
it is not possible to do this all in one day.
in reply to: Ferry from Rovinj, Pula or Rijeka to Split or Hvar #2818
AnaParticipantWe will arrive by car to northern Croatia in July and wonder if there is a ferry from Rovinj, Pula or Rijeka to Split / Hvar available?
Unfortunately at the present there are no car ferries from any of these places to Hvar or Split.
You will have to drive to Split and take you car on car ferry from Split to Hvar (Stari Grad port), ferry line 635 – see schedules here : https://www.croatiaferries.com/split-starigrad-ferry.htm
Ferry maps are here : https://www.croatiaferries.com/maps/
AnaParticipantWe will have a rental car. Planning to take the Split to Vela Luka ferry on June 21. Is there a way to buy and advanced ticket?
Yes, you can buy advance ticket for this ferry route on jadrolinija.hr site
in reply to: Dubrovnik to Rijeka #2817
AnaParticipantWe will be coming to Croatia during the first week of June and we are wondering if the night ferry from Dubrovnik to Rijeka will be available. If so, we would really appreciate to receive the schedule and the relative prices – both for passengers and a motorbike if possible.
We are not sure if Dubrovnik to Rijeka will operate this year. So far there is no indication that it will operate at all. It mainly depends on Jadrolinija and the Croatian government as this route is usually subsidized. I suggest you consider the alternative routes instead.
in reply to: Split to Hvar Island #2643
AnaParticipantWe are arriving in Split 6:40 am 11th June and we wish to get a ferry straight to Hvar island.
Can you please confirm if there is a ferry available, and if so, what time and how do we book?
We will also want a ferry from Hvar to Dubrovnik 13th June.Yes there are ferries available for your dates – see timetables, listings here:

in reply to: Dubrovnik to Hvar catamaran or ferry #2815
AnaParticipantI would like to travel from Dubrovnik to Hvar by ferry but i'm not sure if catamaran is actually ferry because I was reading on forums people mention catamaran I guess this is also public ferry. Is ferry and catamaran same thing, same boat, same schedules?
Yes, catamaran is actually ferry, same thing, same boat, same schedules. There are only 2 ferry lines from Dubrovnik to Hvar and both are run by catamaran ferries.
AnaParticipantI am planning a cycling-tour through Croatia in May and want to ask you – are there any ferries going in May?
Yes, ferries are running in May.
Ferry from Rab – Novalja May 22nd and is it possible to bring a bike on board?
Rijeka to Novalja is foot passenger only ferry run by Jadrolinija and to the best of my knowledge they dont take bike on board (they might take bike in bag, you would need to check with them directly)
Use instead Stinica to Misnjak car ferry : https://www.croatiaferries.com/stinica-misnjak-ferry.htm from where you can reach Pag island on your bike.
See local north adriatic ferry map: https://www.croatiaferries.com/maps/north-adriatic-local-ferry-map/The ferry from Dubrovnik to Bol – is it going in May (or June), too and is a bike allowed on board?
Take instead Dubrovnik to Milna (also Brac island) ferry, going from May to September, they take bikes on board: https://www.croatiaferries.com/dubrovnik-milna-ferry.htm ; book it at the orange button
in reply to: Car Ferry from Split to Supetar advance booking? #2755

in reply to: Split to Dubrovnik ferry #2500
AnaParticipantJadrolinija has this catamaran already listed in their website but not option to purchase tickets online.
Do you know if it will be possible to purchase online at a later time?
I am afraid that this sells out if I have to buy in person once I arrive.Yes, I believe they will put that booking option eventually at a later time
in reply to: Split to Dubrovnik ferry #2499

in reply to: Day trips from Dubrovnik/Korcula/Splt #2812
AnaParticipantWe are travelling to Croatia in July. We are staying in Dubrovnik for 5 nights then Korcula for 2 nights then Split for 3 nights. My question is do I need to book these ferries for travel in between each island beforehand or do we just turn up on the day we want to travel. We won't have a car…just our luggage.
As you are travelling in July, which is high season, I would suggest you to book your tickets in advance.
AnaParticipantWe are looking to travel from Dubrovnik to Vis on the Sunday 25th of June.
Please advise the best route. There are no direct ferries from Dubrovnik to Vis island.
https://www.croatiaferries.com/vis-island-ferries.htmYou would need to go from Dubrovnik to Split (use ferry or bus or combination of both) – see here:
for ferries: https://www.dubrovnik-travel.net/getting-by-ferry-from-split-to-dubrovnik/
for other means of transport : https://www.dubrovnik-travel.net/travel/split-dubrovnik/and from Split travel by ferry to Vis island:
https://www.croatiaferries.com/split-vis-ferry.htmThere is also once a week ferry from Hvar to Vis, however it is not sailing on Sundays:
https://www.croatiaferries.com/hvar-vis-ferry.htm
AnaParticipantIs there a ferry travel pass or multi rider voucher than can be purchased?
No ferry travel pass (yet), sorry
AnaParticipantAre there ferries that will take us from Split to Hvar and from Hvar to Dubrovnik and allow cars on board?
There is a direct car ferry from Split to Hvar island but from Hvar island to Dubrovnik there are no direct car ferries.
Therefore:
- Take the car ferry 635 from Split to Stari grad (Hvar Island) and
- Car ferry 632 from Sucuraj (Hvar island) to Drvenik (mainland) and from there drive to Dubrovnik. Use the Peljesac bridge to avoid crossing the border with Bosnia (see below map).
Here are the schedules and prices:
https://www.croatiaferries.com/split-starigrad-ferry.htm
https://www.croatiaferries.com/sucuraj-drvenik-ferry.htm
Here is a map of ferries -> a local area map
The directions map is here:
in reply to: Ferry from Zadar to Brbinj #2767
AnaParticipantWe would like to know if its possible to book 2 tickets from Zadar to Brbinj August 11th at 20 PM?
We arrive from Denmark the same day and are going to stay in a hotel at the island. No advance booking for car ferries is available, first come – first serve only.
There is plenty of space for foot passengers on car ferries so if you are foot passenger advance booking is not necessary at all.
You can book online in advance 16:30 ticket for foot passenger catamaran on jadrolinija.hr site
AnaParticipantLuggage for foot passenger
I am looking to book a ticket for Dubrovnik to Bari on 10 July.
Does the “foot passenger” price include luggage we are allowed to bring on board?
Or is there an additional option for luggage.Foot passenger ticket include your luggage too, there is no additional option for luggage.
in reply to: From Split to Vis and back #2400
