Sipan Island Ferries
Sipan is an island in Dubrovnik's Elafite Islands archipelago which is just over 8 nautical miles away from the Gruz port in Dubrovnik. The largest and furthest island in the Archipelago, it has two main villages and ferry ports - Sipanska Luka and Sudurad with total about 450 permanent inhabitants. On the island, you will find several 15th and 16th century's summer residence that used to belong to wealthy Dubrovnik's families as well as 30 churches, chapels and church ruins dating from medieval to Reinesance times featuring numerous antique paintings and artefacts. Being the furthest island in the local archipelago, with the largest number of permanent inhabitants, the island is well connected with Dubrovnik by car and foot passenger ferries all year round. Ideal as day trip destination if you are visiting Dubrovnik, beside the beach, Sipan also offers several cycling and hiking options. Good to visit at any time of the year.
